Thailand returns for its third edition from 18–20 December 2026 at Rhythm Park in Laguna Phuket. It will be the festival’s first December edition, bringing EDC to the island during Phuket’s peak travel season and one of its most popular periods for outdoor events.

Festivalgoers can expect multiple stages, leading electronic artists, spectacular production, large-scale art installations, pyrotechnics and a full programme of pre-parties and after-parties around Phuket. Three-day General Admission tickets start at ฿7,990—roughly £185–£195 or $249, depending on the exchange rate.

What Is EDC Thailand?

Electric Daisy Carnival is one of the world’s largest electronic dance music festivals. Created by Insomniac Events, its flagship event takes place each year in Las Vegas, with international editions having also appeared in destinations including Mexico, Japan, the UK and, since January 2025, Thailand.

The Thai edition is organised in partnership with Future Vibes and Vibee. Its January 2026 event at Rhythm Park attracted more than 100,000 people over three days, with a line-up featuring Zedd, Porter Robinson, Armin van Buuren, deadmau5, Chase & Status, Nina Kraviz, AFROJACK and Alok.

Ticket Options and Prices

EDC Thailand tickets are released in tiers. The earliest allocations cost the least, with prices increasing as each tier sells out. Based on the first sale released in January 2026, prices started at:

Hotel EDC: The Official Festival Package

For travellers who want accommodation, festival access and transport organised together, Insomniac and Vibee offer Hotel EDC Thailand at Angsana Laguna Phuket. The hotel sits within the Laguna Phuket resort complex, a short shuttle ride from Rhythm Park.

The 2026 package covers a four-night stay from 17–21 December and includes:

Where Else to Stay for EDC Thailand

Hotel EDC is convenient, but it will not suit every budget and packages can sell quickly. If you would rather arrange your own hotel, focus first on Laguna Phuket, Bang Tao or Layan. Patong offers far more choice, although the longer journey to the festival is a significant trade-off.

Laguna Phuket: Closest to Rhythm Park

The Laguna Phuket resort complex, in the Bang Tao area of Thalang, is the easiest place to stay for the festival. Several hotels are within or immediately beside the complex, giving you convenient access to Rhythm Park and any available festival transport.

Cassia Phuket, around 1 kilometre from the venue, is particularly practical for groups because it offers apartment-style accommodation, generous communal areas, a lively pool and coworking facilities. Other nearby choices include Banyan Tree Phuket, Laguna Holiday Club and Anantara Layan Phuket Resort.

Bang Tao Beach: Around 5–10 Minutes Away

Bang Tao lies immediately west of Laguna and offers everything from small guesthouses to polished beachfront resorts. It is a good balance between festival convenience and a proper beach holiday.

Demand will be high in December, even without EDC, so this is not an area to leave until the last minute. Journey times and taxi fares may also rise during the busiest festival hours.

Layan Beach: Around 10–15 Minutes Away

Layan is quieter and generally more upmarket than Bang Tao. It makes a good base if you want to be close to the festival but would prefer somewhere calmer when the music finishes. Under normal traffic conditions, Rhythm Park is roughly a 10–15-minute drive away.

Patong Beach: Around 30–40 Minutes Away

Patong has Phuket’s broadest selection of hotels, hostels, restaurants and nightlife. It can work well if accommodation choice and price matter more than being close to the festival.

The disadvantage is the journey. Traffic and increased demand on festival nights can make transfers slower and more expensive than the usual 30–40-minute estimate. If you stay in Patong, allow extra travel time and include evening transport in your budget.

Flying to Phuket for EDC Thailand

The nearest airport is Phuket International Airport (HKT). Laguna Phuket and Rhythm Park are normally around 25–35 minutes away by car, although traffic can add considerably to the journey.

December is one of Phuket’s busiest months. Booking early gives you a better choice of flights and avoids having to settle for an awkward connection or expensive departure time.

Flying from the UK

There are no nonstop scheduled flights from the UK to Phuket at the time of writing. Most routes involve one connection, commonly in Dubai with Emirates, Doha with Qatar Airways, Abu Dhabi with Etihad, Kuala Lumpur with Malaysia Airlines or Singapore with Singapore Airlines.

The full journey typically takes around 14–17 hours, depending on the departure airport and length of the connection. As a broad planning figure, December economy returns from the UK may cost around £500–£900, but fares can be higher around Christmas.

Flying from the USA

There are no nonstop flights from the United States to Phuket, so expect at least one connection. Travellers from the East Coast commonly route through Doha, Dubai or Taipei. From the West Coast, options may include Seoul with Korean Air, Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific or Singapore with Singapore Airlines.

Getting from Phuket Airport to Rhythm Park

Your main transfer options are:

• Grab or taxi: A typical fare may be around ฿350–฿500 (£8–£12), although traffic and demand can increase the price.
• Festival shuttle: EDC Thailand normally operates transport from selected pickup points during the event. Check the festival website once the 2026 transport plan is released.
• Hotel transfer: Angsana Laguna Phuket and other hotels in the Laguna area may offer airport transfers. Ask your hotel in advance and compare the cost with a taxi.

EDC Thailand follows the large-scale production style for which Insomniac is known. The centrepiece is kineticFIELD, the enormous main stage, supported by additional stages playing different styles of electronic music.

Practical Tips for Your First EDC Thailand 2026

• Bring the right identification. Entry is strictly for guests aged 20 and over. International visitors should carry the original physical passport required by the event; digital copies and student cards may not be accepted.
• Arrange accommodation early. Hotel EDC and nearby Laguna properties can sell out months ahead, particularly because the event falls in Phuket’s peak season.

• Plan your journey home before you arrive. Ride demand will be highest when the festival closes. Check for shuttles, arrange a pickup if possible or leave room in your budget for higher fares.
• Carry more than one payment method. Take some Thai baht as well as a bank card in case a vendor or payment terminal cannot accept your preferred option.
• Allow extra time from Patong. A journey that takes 30–40 minutes during a quiet period may take 45–60 minutes or longer on a festival night.

December is one of Phuket’s most popular months for good reason: the weather is generally warm and dry, the island is lively and most tours and beach businesses are operating at full pace. It is also peak season, so expect larger crowds and higher hotel prices.

Arriving a few days before EDC gives you time to recover from the flight and enjoy Bang Tao, Layan or the wider Laguna area before the festival begins. Staying afterwards offers the opposite—a chance to slow down after three busy nights.
