Frequently Asked Question
Q: Why is this more expensive than similar products?
A: At Avantree, we use Qualcomm’s premium Bluetooth chip to deliver better sound, stable connection, lower latency, and stronger compatibility. Many lower-cost alternatives use basic chipsets with limited performance.
Q: Can the Relay pair with my phone?
A: No, the Relay is a transmitter, not a receiver. It is designed to send audio from devices like airplane entertainment systems to your Bluetooth headphones. It cannot connect to a phone.

Dual Link
The Relay’s intuitive LEDs allow you to easily connect up to two audio devices and share the audio.
Included Adapter
Connect to any plane with the double 3.5mm adapter – no need to purchase separately.
Extended Playtime
A battery life of up to 20 hours provides sufficient battery life to last you through any flight.

Easy Setup
Plug
Plug the Relay into an in-flight entertainment system (use the adapter if necessary) or any other audio source with an AUX 3.5mm audio output jack.

Power
Turn both the Relay and your headphones on (some earbuds – such as AirPods – need to be powered off in order to place them in pairing mode.)

Pair
For first use, the Relay will automatically enter pairing mode. Place your headphones into pairing mode as well.

Play
Keep the devices close together and they’ll connect. Press & hold the main button until the LED flashes blue & red to connect another pair.

Will this work with a regular TV?
As long as your TV has an AUX audio output jack, the Relay will work with it.
Will I get audio lag or lip-sync delays with my headphones?
Your headphones must support either aptX Low Latency or aptX Adaptive in order to eliminate audio latency. Please note that most true wireless earbuds (such as AirPods) do not currently support these audio codecs.
How are the volume levels?
You should be able to reach sufficient volume levels by adjusting the volume on both the Relay, your headphones, and / or the audio source.
How long does it take to fully charge the adapter?
It only takes 1.5 hours to fully charge the adapter.
Can I connect my phone to the Relay via Bluetooth?
No, as a transmitter, the Relay is designed to only connect to audio devices (such as your headphones or AirPods) via Bluetooth.
